National Sales Director

Purpose of the Role:

Sales “Hunter” role focused on driving net new MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) for the organization. Prospect and close new business in a defined territory, identifying new opportunities and selling across all four verticals (provider, plan, pharma, wellness). Secure MSAs with new clients negotiating, price, term, scope, etc. Coordinate all sales resource needs (technical, legal, consulting and financial) as needed to support closing deals. Support recently closed sales for defined period of time to complete implementation and grow revenue through additional upselling within the customer.

The ideal candidate will have experience selling into “payers” (Health Plans). This candidate will have a technology-first approach.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Achieving & exceeding individual sales quota
  • Develop and manage relationships internally as well as within your respective territory
  • Create and maintain a strategic territory sales plan
  • Prospect, identify, qualify, and close new sales opportunities
  • Create enterprise level proposals, contracts, and value assessments
  • Present to C-level executives and manage complex sales-cycles
  • Build account plans and strategies for each target account
  • Uncover customer needs and align to mPulse solutions
  • Creatively identify new ROI-driven use cases
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and revenue achievement through quarter business reviews and weekly forecast calls

Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • Specific experience selling into “payers” (Health Plans) or Health Systems
  • Technology-first approach
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3-7 years direct sales experience in a quota-carrying role in the software/technology sector
  • Experience in SaaS preferred
  • Experience managing and closing complex sales-cycles at all organizational levels
  • Track record of success in carrying a quota of $1m at a minimum
  • Track record of over-achieving quota (top 10%+ of company) in past positions
  • Proficient in MS Office,, and other business software
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximate 50%
